Measuring and cutting stone is a complicated process and must be error-free to ensure your countertops are truly custom fit to the cabinets and walls in your kitchen. So how does StoneMark get such perfectly fit countertops?

First, during the field measure visit to your home, we use the latest in digital laser technology to measure your current kitchen walls and cabinets. Then your template technician will lay out your new countertops on the same digital drawing, adding in details like overhangs and radiused corners to get you the exact look you want to achieve. He’ll go over seam placement to make sure you know precisely what your tops will look like when they arrive, as well as discuss sink and cooktop placement. He will then show you precisely what your kitchen layout will look like before we make a single cut! And, because it is all digital, in almost all cases, you can leave your old countertops in place while we prepare your new ones!

Reducing what used to be hours of work with wooden or plastic templates to mere minutes on a computer, our Laser Template System uses a laser measuring device to create a precise digital drawing of your countertop area based on your actual cabinet and wall dimensions. Our skilled Field Measure Technicians arrive at your home, armed with a tripod, a laser, and a computer. The setup takes seconds, and the digitizing device allows the technician to measure quickly and precisely to create a new digital drawing. Once back at our facility, the digital file with your custom geometry is downloaded to our computer-controlled cutting and routing equipment to ensure an accurate fit. The computer-guided, fully digital machinery then uses diamond tooling to cut your stone accurately. This results in highly precise cuts that perfectly match your individualized kitchen. Our experienced polishers finish the process by handcrafting the edges to achieve the perfect shine.
